1. Drafting the Agreement

  • Duration: Lease period (e.g., 11 months, 1 year, etc.).

  • Utilities & Bills: Responsibility for electricity, water, and other bills.
  • Termination Clause: Notice period and conditions for early termination.
  • Restrictions & Rules: Subletting, pet policy, visitor restrictions, etc.

2. Stamp Paper & Notarization

  • Print the agreement on stamp paper of the appropriate value (varies by state/country).
  • Get the document notarized (if required by law).

3. Signatures

  • Both landlord and tenant must sign the agreement.
  • In some cases, two witnesses may be required to sign.

4. Registration (if applicable)

  • If the agreement is for more than 11 months, it must be registered at the local Sub-Registrar’s office.
  • Both parties should be present with identification documents.
